The Deer Hemmel visitor shelter

During the hay feeding season (from just after Christmas), Chris Leyland, the Park Manager will be able to take 2 visitors on the feeding run each morning. This will be on our new all-terrain vehicle. This is a fantastic chance to take close-up photographs. Be warned, this is not a luxury ride! Phone Chris for details

You can contact the warden, Richard Marsh, directly by e mail at:

School visits can be made by arrangement with the warden.

There is also a footpath around the outside of the parkland (permissive access) which is open at all times.

A small visitor finds some winter ice

At all times of the year the cattle behave in a truly wild manner. During your visit you may be a spectator at a real tussle for mastery of the herd.
